Origin.exe cannot be found

I'm seriously starting to hate Origin. Just one bug after another. If I could play all of Origin's games on Steam, I would.

Hey all, if you see this issue again then a clean install of Origin should fix the issue.

This issue is generally caused by a missing or corrupt file.

I am having the same issue as you, i have tried everything and noting has worked. I have also uninstalled origin and apex legends and reinstalled them both. With a fresh download of origin i had to change the name for it to open. Games will still give me the same error and i dont even know what to do next.

How about using the difficult method?

While in the registry according to the instructions above, find in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Image File Execution Options the following values ​​and if any of them appears there - delete them!

- OriginClientService.exe

- OriginCrashReporter.exe
- Origin.exe
- OriginER.exe

Make sure Origin services are running by going to services.msc

I found a simple fix for it. Simply go into the folder and rename the application file to Origin.exe and create a new desktop shortcut. I did that a few minutes ago and it fixed the problem.

Same issue here. On my PC its caused by the new Win10 update "18363.900". My parent-folder was renamed after the update to "Programme (x86)" [because I'm from germany], before the update the folder had it's english name "program files (x86)". To temporary fix this issue, install origin outside this folder to a new own folder in "C:\" (this helps for myself). I hope EA can fix this in a new version of origin.
