Hi,
When I open the Origin client the welcome page starts to load (the circle appears briefly) and the screen turns white/grayish. I can still see the top menu and click them, but they won't work (can't open preferences or games). I can't open the games from the tray icon either and the direct shortcuts won't work.
When I load www.origin.com the same thing happens in my browser. I've tried on different computers from the same network and it keeps happening. I asked a friend to try to access and it was working for him so it shouldn't be a server-side issue.
I've restarted the router, flushed the dns, reinstalled the client, tried other browsers (Firefox, Chrome) but none of these work. I've checked the firewall and access is allowed. I haven't installed any new software since my last session (it was working fine 20 hours ago).
Does anyone have a clue about how can this issue be fixed?
Thanks.

Has Origin worked for you since it updated to Version 10?

I think so, it worked fine the night before and I can't recall any updates happening when I opened Origin the next day.

We did recently apply updates to the Origin client.
Any time new updates are added to a program an anti-virus, anti-malware or firewall can block these new updates until you manually allow them again.
There are also several other steps that you can try:
- Always run Origin as administrator
- Uninstall the client, the download and install (as admin) the latest Origin version
- Clear the Origin cache
- Run your system in a clean boot
I hope that helps. And let us know if you have any further questions.

I read this from a Danish hardwaresite and this worked for me.
Remove all origin from pc,
disconnect all wireless and wired internet (disable the adapters),
connect fx a phone or tablet with mobile internet sharing,
reinstall origin with the phones internet connection (can take a while),
log in to origin after installation (at this point everything was to normal for me.),
activate your normal internet connection,
disconnect phone or tablet.
ding ding. it worked for me at least.
Something wrong with certain ISPs it seems like.
I don't know if Origin or the ISP is to blame,
however this kinda sums it up I think..

I also could't acces Origin all of the sudden. White hanging screen, when I clicked it away I got the login screen, but couldn't go online. Removed Origin and downloaded it again from Chrome. Installation gave me also the white screen untill I saw Marshmeii0 comment to download it with Edge and that worked for me as well! Could install it again and Origin is now working again 🙂

Had the same problem awhile back. Found that there were some adware, spam and things that would install their programs on your computer without your consent. Found a program, can't remember the name of it, that was free and it got rid of all the stuff. Now Origin runs like it is suppose to.

So Origin is not installed in the moment?
If so:
- Go here and download CCleaner. (The freeware version.)
- Run "CCleaner" > Registry (left bar.) > Scan for errors.
- Fix selected errors > Run the backup > Clean up entries.
- Restart the PC.
- Download this version of the Origin installer.
- Run the "OriginSetup.exe" as administrator.
(Right click the "OriginSetup.exe" > Run as administrator.) - Reboot > Test.
