Origin PC App riddled with malware and pop-ups

i have found that since i cancelled my premium membership that now my origin app is riddled with malware pop-ups and extremely slow and impossible to use. on top of that if i actually want to purchase something i now have to use the web browser origin and not the app. i am strongly suggesting here that origin/ea has done this on purpose to persuade usersinto purchasing there useless premium services. this was not like this before i used there premium services and only started once i cancelled. i am just beyond frustrated. i have top of the line anti malware programs and it is lighting up like fireworks every time origin opens. so dissapointed

Sounds like you have viruses on your PC, as this not something you would get from just downloading Origin from our website.

A healthy cleaning of the PC some anti-virus is needed for you, If you don't know how to do it I recommend that you consult an expert or local PC shop that you can talk to.

    Hey @dalmansrule

I'm sorry to hear about your frustrations with our Origin platform ☹️

Would it be possible for you to perhaps provide us with a screenshot of how Origin looks on your PC when you launch it? Origin very rarely uses pop-ups to advertise anything, so it might not be connected with our platform in the first place.

  •  The one ad is always on the prigin app in the corner. And the other screen pop ups happen ANY TIME i click on ANYTHING in the app. Sometimes when i open the app for the first time 6+ of them popup.

I tried adding pictures but it just keeps saying files to large. Sorry. I can email photos but i guess i cant add them here
