I am having this problem right now, my list of games doesn't show up.
I live in Norway, but many of my friends who live nearby do not have the same problem.
Same problem here.. deleted all folders and reinstalled origin and get the same message and no game list to reistall purchased games!!!! Tried the connection troubleshooting with no luck.
mac w/ Yosemite 10.10.5. no problems until a couple days ago...
Updated the Mac OS to latest solved my problem with origin...
Yosemite to High Sierra fixed everything..
