TS4_x64.exe - System Error

Hello,

I am having difficulty playing Sims 4 on my PC. It keeps giving me a TS4_x64.exe - System Error that states "the code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found.  Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." when I hit OK it then says "the code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found.  Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I have tried the "repair" option and uninstalling and reinstalling and now it still says the error codes and will not fully download my games stating "Origin was denied access to the following file or folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\__Installer\DLC\GP08\__Installer\installerdata.xml_DiP_STAGED. This may be due to security restrictions or disk corruption. Check the folder permissions or check your disk for errors before retrying the download." I have spent a good deal of money on this game and the expansions.  Can someone please help?

Hey all, can you try installing the most up to date version of VC++ to see if it helps.

You can find the latest version on the Microsoft website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

You need to install both of the following:

    • vcredist_x86_vs2015 (for 32bit Windows version)
    • vcredist_x64_vs2015 (for 64bit Windows version)

If you get the message that the files are already installed, select Repair instead. It is recommended to run the installer as administrator (right-click the file, select run as admin).

Hey @2006nai in that case can you ensure that your Sims is fully up to date, you may need to reinstall it to be sure.

  • Please could you also help me? @EA_Darko
I just installed both of stated files (as you said above) but nothing happend. It's just like game is launching, window gets black and it looks like everything is fine, but suddenly everything switch off and I am back to my desktop and there is appearing error code 135dec40:3fbbecd0:00000064:00000000. I tried everything and it's still not working.

  • @EA_Darko

i am having the same problem as her, i downloaded what you recommended and it is still not working.

  • I had the exact same issue. I actually got a new laptop and set everything up, and I wanted to play the sims like I always do on my pc. On my pc it works completely fine but on this new laptop it gives me the error code. I have had the Sims 4 for a bit longer than a year and I have never had this issue. I installed all of my packs including the game yesterday and I was looking forward to playing it today. I have searched and I'm not sure what to do. Please help me.

@pogo401  Try running Origin and Sims 4 as an admin: right-click on each shortcut, or the original .exe (Origin.exe and TS4_x64.exe) and select "Run as administrator."

If that doesn't help, what antivirus do you use?  You may need to manually change its settings, and some programs have multiple settings that affect Sims 4.
