Unable to sign in to my EA Account to link with Epic Games

I am getting the error "Your accounts can't be linked because the EA Account for <my e-mail> is already linked to the Epic Games account for <not my Epic Games account>. An EA Account can only be linked to one Epic Games account in it's lifetime." In calling EA support, they confirmed that there is not an Epic Games account connected to my account. They had already previously unlinked the rogue Epic Games account. That said, they were also unable to do anything to allow my Epic Games account to be linked to my EA Account. My assumption is that my account has been flagged with having already been linked, as the warning states "An EA Account can only be linked to one Epic Games account in its lifetime." When I asked support if they could clear this flag, they said they were unable to. and would forward my case as "feedback" for the appropriate team to consider changing something on their end to allow for it in the future. I asked that the issue be escalated to a higher tier Tech Support rep, and they informed me that no such escalation process exists.

 

Is there really no one in EA Tech Support that can solve my issue?

    Thats incredible how long it takes to fix this problem.. It's been 6 weeks when i tried to link my EA and XBL accounts and it's still not working

    If your account was already linked to other and unlinked. You cannot link it again to that same service. Info from Help center. Only solution is to create new EA Account and link with the new one

  • This is what I am getting from my chat rep as well now. Before it was "Wait a few minutes" then "Wait 24 hours" now I can't even play the game I got on my own EA account? Everything is unlinked and I have to believe someone at EA should be able to help me get my game running!

  • @EA_Darkoany thoughts? I have had at least four chats with support trying to get this fixed. Apparently one person on here was able to get it taken care of but no one else seems to be able to.

    Hey @cbrasher, if our live support was unable to assist you then I'm sorry to say but there would be nothing that we can do on AHQ to change that.

  • So that begs the question: If I want to play the game who do I talk to now? Someone has to be able to help those of us having these issues; others on the forum say they have been helped before but not recently. I can't believe no one at EA wants to help you guys solve these situations.

  • Are you able to find out if the EA team is actually working on a fix for this issue?

  • Yeah, me too. I think this is a common error. Due to that I pretty much lost my battlefront 2. (No I didn't get it when it was free.)
    I really feel scammed. I hope they can fix this.

    We can't do that. We get redirected to unhelpful articles telling us to go to help.ea.com
    I can't contact anyone or access any chat. It's just articles.
