Hello, I just got a new laptop with windows 10, and I downloaded spore via origin. when I click play I get the error: A required security module cannot be activated. This program cannot be executed...

Unfortunately this is a known issue under Win 10
Install all the patches of Spore
http://www.spore.com/patch/archivedsporepatches
Make a registry cleaning with CCleaner or use Windows own Disk Cleanup

I do not understand how to patch Spore. The link you directed me to says that to patch it I launch Spore however error 8016 prevents me from launching.
