I have the CD, how do I get it on Origin? The key doesn't seem to work.

Unfortunately, the physical CD version of Spore is so old that it's not possible anymore for you to redeem the product code yourself on your Origin account.
Please get in touch with a Game Advisor at https://help.ea.com/contact-us for further assistance. They should be able to exchange your old code for a newer one which can be redeemed on your Origin account then.

Hello, I realize I am years later, but I am having the same issue. Is it still possible to do this?
Sorry to open an old thread, but I keep trying to contact help and they keep telling me I need a CD key which, since so old, I no longer have.
I do have a registered spore account on this EA account from when I owned the game when it first released, but for some reason that’s not enough proof?
which I don’t understand because you needed to connect to the servers and register the disk. So it’s registered under my account with the code already. But because I can’t tell them the code it doesn’t count? Is there anyone who can please help me? I just want to play spore again..
I got no help.
They wasted my time and sent me weird links and told me they could do nothing. So disapointed.
same - have old boxed copy of game
ea told me the code - is third-party (despite looking at it on the back of the game manual) and cannot do anything - game is ripe for the bin, useless
