Alice: Asylum
Hello all ! I'm posting here to see if anyone knows if there will ever be a chance EA decides to move forward with Alice: Asylum or at least allow it to be released by its original creator ?
Since the release of Alice: Madness returns on steam, it has been sold multiple times, and the community board there is still very active. People remaster American Mcgee's Alice all of the time so others can continue to play it, and there have been successful fundraisers in recent years that show many people have an Interest in the franchise. There was even a short film dedicated to it released just this month, and a successful launch of plushie dreadfuls based off of the characters in American Mcgee's Alice and madness returns. I even see many people buying and selling handmade merch of the games all of the time, and asking for things like the achievements to be added to the steam version of Madness Returns because they want more content.
The topic of the game and it's themes have gone trending multiple times in the past years, and it's extremely obvious there's a huge fandom of people world wide who would absolutely be willing to buy a third installment to the series. I know some have said the original pitch of Alice: Asylum was turned down because EA believed single player games were dead, but we've been proved time and time again with games like silent hill, fatal frame, resident evil, and red dead redemption that single player games are just as beloved and popular as multiplayer ones.
It seems like EA is missing out on a huge profit and a large demographic by not going ahead with Alice: Asylum. Is there any real reason why ? and is it possible they may go through with it in the future ?
