Anthem, Can’t Launch Anthem, App Says Not in Library or Registry Error
Hi EA team and community,
I'm experiencing two persistent issues trying to launch Anthem: Legion of Dawn Edition through the EA App.
After reinstalling the game, I see it in My Collection, it shows as installed, and I can click play — but then I get one of two error messages:
“We couldn’t launch Anthem: Legion of Dawn Edition because it’s no longer in your app library. Visit the game hub to add it back to your library.”
If I try to repair or relaunch, I get this:
DisplayName field missing from registry.
Sign in with your EA Account to activate DisplayName field missing from registry on this computer.
We could not activate DisplayName field missing from registry on this computer using the EA Account you provided. Please activate the game's Product Code at Origin.com. If you have already completed that step, please make sure you’re signing in to the same EA Account used to activate the game.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far with EA Support
Cleared the EA App cache multiple times
Uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App
Repaired the game
Ran the EA App as administrator
Logged out and back in
Verified the game is on my account
Tested other EA games — they work fine
Support confirmed the game is linked to my EA account and submitted the issue as a bug to the game team. I was advised to post here to raise visibility and see if others have encountered the same issue.
