Every time I tried to launch Galactic Adventures, the EA App says "Failed to launch %gameName%" and to try again. Keep in mind that this is through a desktop shortcut or executable. Using the app just opens regular Spore. I repaired the game files, restarted my computer multiple times, ran Glary Utilities, and still nothing works. The last time I ran Galactic Adventures the game worked fine and nothing out of the ordinary happened. I never played Spore on Steam and don't want to go through the process of switching to it. I can't find any information my exact problem/error either, so I don't know what is causing it. Please help.Note: Image of error has been attached.

I'm having the same problem. I have been able to access Spore by deleting the message (just the message) and then starting it from the EA libarary. BUT, even though the GA starts, it is not available in the game. @EA_Illium hi again illium, i can confirm that i am playing via the EA App. Today, trying to fix other issues (Red Alert 3 not launching) i tried reinstalling it so now Spore Galactic adventures is giving me a different error: when launching via a desktop shortcut or the exe itself, instead of "failed to launch %gamename%" it says "you need to update and restart the EA app." But of course after you click restart, it doesn't help.trying to launch GA via the app still just launches regular base spore

It used to be "Cannot find %gamename%" but now it just says I'll need an update to play this game, and clicking update and restart just restarts the client with no update. Just like the other people here.

So idk if anyone has mentioned it in this thread, but there is a wworkaround: Use the Spore Mod API Launcher. You don't need to install any mods, just use the launcher to launch galactic adventures. https://www.davoonline.com/sporemodder/rob55rod/ModAPI/Public/index.html

Can't launch Spore Galactic Adventures, can't find information on issue either.

Same thing happened to me and weirdly on the same day. Maybe it has to do with a new update the launcher got?

Also noticed that while you can start GA from the EA App after dimissing the error message, It actually only starts Spore w/ C&C. GA is not started. And when you try to save a png from of the creation, it will say that it is saving it. but it doesn't.

I have the same issue now. By the way, don't try to launch regular Spore since it messes up Galactic Adventures related save data. If you launched Galactic Adventures and had it convert your save data, launching regular Spore I think can make your captains lose their ability to be played in adventures in the Galactic Adventures menu, causing you to lose progress.

Same problem here, repairing the game (including both expansions), clearing the cache or restarting the PC did not help.
