Creating an account in 'Spore'

Hi at all

I am having a problem with creating an account. I have just purchased 'Spore' for my son and in the game it asks you to register. I proceed through all necessary steps put e-mail and new password etc and then when i click next it errors saying password and e-mail don't match 🤔 Its a create an account page not a login page. Please help someone i have no idea wat to do next.
