EA Games Not Starting

Hi all,

A few years ago, I tried to mod SW Battlefront II after watching a video on it. This was a mistake. I realised that this could go against the rules of the game and so I removed the mods.

However, since then, most games (except Sims 4) no longer load on my computer. When I run the games they either don't run or they say I need to repair the files.

i have tried to fix this by running the repair options on both EA and steam (which is where most of them are from) and reinstalling the games/launchers. Nothing has worked. I decided to come here to see if there is something I can do to fix this that I dont know about, would love if someone could help :)

Thanks!

Hey, the DxDiag looks good now. When you try to launch the games, did anything change at all, or does it still say to just repair the game?

Hey, it felt like it took a bit longer to reach the repair game message but I could be imagninging that. But otherwise, there was no difference.

It seems that you've tried most of the steps for issues with the game files/installation. As these steps have not fixed the problem yet, we could try some of the steps in this article (Troubleshooting graphics on PC). These steps are usually recommended for issues where the game is crashing due to issues with the graphics card, but they could also help in this case. Please also make sure to try a full reinstall of your game once you've completed the steps.

Hey, sorry for the late response, I have tried all of the steps but there is still no change.

This one seems a bit tricky. Since you've tried most of the relevant steps so far, I suggest that you try creating a new Windows admin account, as the issue might be with your current Windows profile.

    I hope this helps,
