Guys,2 Asus Reinstalled Spore to find I can only play it ONLINE thru ORIGIN NOW?
PLEASE tell me I'm daydreaming or just having an all out nightmare! With ALL that's WRONG in the REAL WORLD, Spore was a RETREAT...an ESCAPE to a MUCH better Universe (even with the Grox!) 😢
Online features require the latest version of the game, available from Origin, Steam, or GOG.
Disc players can download the game for free using Origin. Log into Origin with the same account you use for Spore. If it doesn't automatically show up, click Add a Game at the top, and enter your serial code from the back of the manual. The disc version must be uninstalled before you can install the newer version from Origin.
There is also a mod for disc versions that upgrades the game's online components to be able to connect to the server, but this is a bit more advanced and I wouldn't recommend it unless the above option is not possible.
