How do you add multiple spore personas in 2023

As is widely known, the Spore website (Spore.com) is no longer very useful in 2023. In the past, I believe I am correct in saying that there was a page that could be used to add multiple spore personas to one EA account. However, this page (http://www.spore.com/view/screenNameManage, which I found here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Spore/Getting-Started-with-Spore-Registering-installing-and-connecting/td-p/7986798) is no longer an existing page on the Spore website. My situation is that my sibling and I both use the same Windows OS computer, and bought Spore through steam. As is, I am registered in Spore with this current EA account, but for my sibling to connect to the spore servers when using the game from their Windows account I would assume that they would have to log in to that same Spore account in order to avoid being required to buy a second copy of the game. The problem is, we would both like to keep our Spore creations separate, and my guess is that using the same Spore account would move both our creations to the same "Sporepedia", which is what we'd like to avoid. Does anyone know a solution to this issue? Creating a new Spore persona is what I thought would work, but as I said earlier, that page no longer exists on Spore.com.

  • From what I know, it isn't really possible to keep creations separate. They stay in the 'My Creations' section regardless of the current user who is logged in; It's just that the usernames are different.

Also on my end, http://www.spore.com/view/screenNameManage - Still works. As long as you have slots (you have 5 max, including your original name), you should be good to go.

If your sibling wants to be tied to that account, you just make them a username there. If you want them to login with Spore on that username, you need to use the e-mail associated with that account. I.E the one you login to Spore to begin with. The difference is that you need to have a colon and the username associated with it. I will give an example:

    exampleemail @ gmail.com - This is yours.

exampleemail @ gmail.com:YourSiblingsUsernameHere - This is your siblings.

    Same password for both personas.

Interesting, I'll have to try access the website again.

On my home computer, it gave errors when trying to access the website. My assumption was that the page no longer existed, I suppose I'll have to investigate that issue on my end. Thanks for your help.

  • Make sure you are logged in. There should be a tab called 'MySpore'. Then a sub option called 'Settings' this is where you should be able to change your personas, hopefully anyway!
