Hi, a have the game in STEAM, but I can't connect to the spore account in game, I saw on forums that I need the game on EA, do I really need to buy the game again?

I did not buy SPORE from STEAM. I am trying to access my creations and other user created creatures to see them appear on the SPORE planets. I get the following error message There was an error connecting to the SPORE servers. Check your Connections....

I got the same problem as well, then when I tried logging in on my hubby's PC I got the invalid login error

Could you try deleting the preferences folder? Sometimes Spore bugs out, especially if you load Spore too many times with too many login requests.
You can find the preferences folder by default here: C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Spore
Note that 'AppData' is a hidden folder in Windows. You can either find a way to enable hidden files and folders or press the 'windows key + r' this will open the run box. Then you type '%appdata%' without the quotations.
Once that file is deleted, load Spore up again and attempt to login.
Did you register an account in Spore? If so, you must have a screenname attached to it when you registered, do you remember it?
If so, you can try adding your screenname at the end of your e-mail. The reason this works is because you can have up to five screennames (also known as personas on each account).
For example: myemail @ email.com:Sharples65
Then type your password is the password box as you usually would.
If you create more than one screenname, be sure to try other ones.
