Linking EA and Xbox accounts deletes save?

I linked my xbox account and ea account a few weeks ago and i need to wait for 6 months because theres possible way support can skip the 6 months. I got on to play garden warfare 2 and saw they made me a new save file. Im wondering when 6 motnhs finally pass and i unlink my accounts, will my old save file be there still on xbox? I dont want to lose that save, its been the same one since the game came out.

    It's likely that the save file is no more bolt1cw0nder​.

    It may allow you to continue from where you left off but there is no guarantee.

    EA_Darko​ im not worried about the timer, im worried about my save file. I had a save file before linking my xbox and ea account and after linking them, i had a new save file. My question is, if and when i unlink my account, can i go back and play on the old save?
