My animals won't eat in spore

While in tribe mode, my animals won't eat in spore while I have them highlighted and right clicking on my food basket while the food symbol appears. They either don't move or go to the food and don't...

    Thx. I found out going to main menu and back works. Im in spaceship stage anyways.
