Re: Trouble installing Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack

For reference, do you have the folder BP1Data located at C:\Program Files\EA Games\Spore\BP1Data - With EA App installed?

I would recommend going to the Spore folder at C:\Program Files\EA Games\ - And then right clicking the folder --> Properties --> Security Tab --> Click 'Edit' to change permissions --> Look for 'Administrator' and allow everything you see in the boxes below. Then try installing Creepy & Cute again.

Yes, I do have the BP1Data folder in that location while having the EA App installed.

I edited the permissions to the Spore folder and allowed every permission for administrators as well as users, but unfortunately this did not work to fix the Creepy and Cute installation.

Here is a screenshot of the permissions just in case:

  • Something is preventing it from completing. I have an idea, is it possible you could download Spore with Creepy & Cute on another device and then transfer the contents within BP1Data over to C:\Program Files\EA Games\Spore\BP1Data

If you don't, try uninstall Spore entirely again. Close the EA App and then try running the EA App as Administrator (Right click 'EA' on your desktop and 'Run as Administrator') then try downloading it again.

Also if you haven't already, uninstall the Origin version. Before that however, see if the booster pack is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Spore and try to copy that file over to C:\Program Files\EA Games\Spore\BP1Data

  • this is ridiculous. i shouldnt need another machine to get something i paid for to work. this is unbelievable
