THE SIMS MEDIEVAL

I’m hoping someone here has dealt with this before. I purchased the limited edition disc version of The Sims Medieval when it first released. It installed directly from the disc and originally just prompted you to register the game on The Sims website. It didn’t require Origin at the time.

Years later, I was still able to play it through Origin, which was the last time the game worked for me. Since Origin was replaced by the EA App, I haven’t been able to launch or access the game at all.

I still have the physical disc and the product key, and I paid for the game legitimately. It’s frustrating to lose access to something I bought just because the platform changed.

Has anyone found a way to get the disc version recognized in the EA App or otherwise get the game running again? Any help would be appreciated because I’d really like to play the game I paid for.

    I bought the game and the Pirates and Nobles expansion when it was first released and still have it on disc too. I have been trying to get this game running again for months. I was able to play it on a PC that had a 3070Ti graphics card and it was playing great. When it installed EA was supporting it, but that was April 2023. I have since bought another PC recently which has a 4070Ti graphics card, but EA has stopped supporting the game. Apparently it needs a file from EA that details your computer setup which EA will not provide. I have heard that someone has created a work around that requires a download from another source, but due to security issues I'm reluctant to try that. It is installed on my current PC and the game is still in my EA app library, but when I try to start the game I get the error code 366 unable to launch. I still live in hope that someday EA will do the right thing and support it again, it's a terrible waste of a good game.
