SPORE BAD_DATA

@Freggi-Liz  Hey the photo link isn't working and is sending me to a german page could you possibly write in what piece of code we are looking for and where to copy and paste it in??

Hi, I’m having this bad_data problem aswell I’ve uninstalled but I’m not very tech savvy could you help me navigate this error on my Mac please

Im having the exact same problem. Im on a Mac and haven't got the files mentioned above.  downloaded a digital copy from origin.

On Mac

Navigate under-> Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/SPORE Preferences/

Right click “Config” and Open with TextEdit -> Scroll down and keep an eye under following line

Picture Link 1

Type now the following countries code in the same line. Save it

These Languages support Spore
cz-cz: Czech
da-dk: Danish
de-de: German
el-gr: Greek
en-gb: British
en-us: American English
es-es: Spanish
fi-fi: Finnish
fr-fr: French
hu-hu: Hungarian

no-no: Norwegian
pl-pl: Polish
pt-br: Brazilian
pt-pt: Portuguese
ru-ru: Russian
sv-se: Swedish

HOW TO FIX

The problem is file:

En-gb is missing “namegeneration.package”

The solution 

(you need to see hidden files)

Right click spore icon 

Click show package content

In order go to:

Content 

Resources 

transgaming (at the bottom)

c_drive

“spore”

“data”

“locale” 

go into “en-us” and copy “namegeneration.package”

Go into “en-gb” and paste missing file

Restart pc 

Happy gaming

I hope its ok to reply to this threat after so long. I'm trying to get your fix to work, but it looks like your site is down, is there any way you'd be able to direct me another way to fix the bad data on Mac please?
