Spore "Corrupt Planet" and game freezes

Hi, I have a windows 7 PC, I have recently bought spore through origin, worked fine for about three days and then I went on it and some bizzare things started happening.

I opened spore as usual, loaded just fine, noticed I only had one lonesome planet in the centre of my screen, I definitely had about four, before. I hover over this planet and it says that "file is corrupt or missing", I delete the file and it does the regular deleting scene but it re-appears seconds later! I try to hover over again but the game freezes, the sound still playing and mouse still moves, but can't interact with anything. I couldn't exit the game no matter which button I tried, so I turned off my computer and tried again. Same thing. Every time I try to go on it's all the same apart from the planet's name, which seems to randomize every time, and the time at which the game freezes varies, I think I can link it to how fast my mouse moves but I am not sure.

Please help me, I spent some good money on this together with the creepy and cute expansion (Also bought the creature creator game, that works fine!) 🙂

Regards, GreenMouuse.

  • I'm trying that now, the problem that they had is exactly the same as mine!

  • I saved it to a new folder, this didn't work, sorry. I have uninstalled and re-installed it multiple times already.

I'm sorry it didn't help you. I am still looking for a method. Try to uninstall the game completely, delete files from the registry and delete the remaining folders in "Appdata" and "My Documents."
