Spore, Could not find the Data directory, we cannot run. [1004]

I have recently brought Spore on steam. When I try to launch Spore, a box pops out saying "Could not find the Data directory, we cannot run. [1004]". I have reinstalled the game and tried verifying. ...

    I have manage to fix my Spore, I moved the Spore folder from the Steam folder to desktop and back to the Steam Folder.

Oh no, I got the same error this morning, I moved my Spore folder from Desktop to my Steam folder and I'm still getting the same error.

      Thank you for the guide, but I have already verified the files a couple times and still giving me error 1004.
