spore crashes after loading - space stage - loading game - 15 min crash

I recently downloaded spore again from my old CD in 2021 and had no problems between the cell stage and the civilization stage

however once I entered the space stage the game kept crashing after every 15 minutes no apparent reason

I solve this by saving the game continuously and just loading up the last saved after a crashed

However now when I load up the game I see the Milky Way galaxy and when I click on my saved fiile game I get a loading screen and then it crashes

there is no error message or anything it's just no game, as if a closed it down

I have tried removing the cache. Package but this has not worked at all

I have also changed the properties to admen and XP.3 Still nothing works

can anyone help me on this issue or is the game permanently broken?
