Spore for Mac: BLack Screen on loading, can see mouse

When launching spore for the mac, I'm getting a black screen. The blue "spore mouse" indicator is there (not just the generic mac mouse indicator). I am also hearing all the appropriate sounds for st...

If changing the config file doesnt' work, I've found that a quick Command + Tab to the finder through your open apps and then back to Spore will get the graphics showing again. Dumb, but a quick work around.
