Spore: Galactic Adventures for MAC!

I recently bought Spore: Galactic Adventures from a third-party site thinking it was the boxed version available in stores, which was dual format. Turns out that it was a key for Origin. Turns out that the Origin version of the add-on is PC only. This seems ridiculous! The original was PC and Mac, I think it's misleading and downright daft that the Origin version is not ALSO PC and Mac, especially given that it has the same cover art as the store release (albeit minus BOTH system compatability icons). Is there any way I can get the product I wanted here?

For that matter, will anyone in EA actually READ this comment or is this another lame 'We don't want to have to run a help desk so we're making our customers do it for us' "Community" help?
