Spore installed through Origin can't install Galactic Adventures using disk.

You can do the following steps

Open Origin

Navigate to the Spore cover

Right-click on the game cover

Select Repair Game

I have the same problem, and your solution doesn't work.

My Spore is installed through Origin and my GA is disc ver., just like the first person's.  My OS is Windows 10 Home Edition.

It would be better if you play GA instead of a physical version (CD) to a digital download.

Excuse me, I didn`t see.  But I'm glad when I hit a bulls-eye. 😉

Otherwise use the compatible mode, when the game doesnt run fine on newer Windows..
