Spore will not start downloading

My problem was with Spore. Problem same as described above. I got the game to download by removing all the add-ons from the download. I noticed that one of the add-ons was queued before the game when I looked at the xbox app. I suspect that the download order created a problem because the add-on wouldn't download unless it detected the main game. but that is just a hunch based on the fix.
" I got the game to download by removing all the add-ons from the download." This fixed the issue for me when using the EA App to download this game. The App was stuck on "Preparing"
