Spore

I brought a copy of spore for my windows xp machine it installed ok but now when I try to start the game it tells me I need internet connection to carry on which I have but it wont seem to see it no ...

Update I downloaded from the spore website onto another pc with windows 10 on and altho the trial version will work it still wont register says the servers are down

Alas, you may have an old copy of the disc. You will not be able to play Spore via disc. I myself recently wanted to install spore from a .iso disk image since I didn't have a disk. I installed the game, my digital key came up, but I got the same error as yours. I'm sorry, but the Spore authentication servers have closed. I recently purchased a Spore Galactic Edition and this starterpack contains a game disc. I purchased the game from the seller, not from the store. There are only 3 downloads of the game from disk. The seller has already installed the game 2 times. I only had 1 time to install the game. I will soon install the game on a Windows XP computer. But I have it under repair.

    I'm trying to get this game to work on a Windows XP machine as well. I used my own key, and even tried the same disc out in a modern computer. The activation service is not down, but it refuses to detect a connection on my XP machine and won't launch.
