For anybody still continuing to have this issue. The best recommendation I would suggest is the following:
- Getting in touch with an advisor via Live Chat
- Having your receipt of purchase through either Steam or a DvD CD-Key.
- Link to this thread. (First page)
With all three of these, you should have a better chance of creating a Spore account and redeeming it through the EA App.
If you are redeeming it on Steam, read through this link on how to provide a proof of purchase
If for some reason the evidence provided isn't satisfactory to the advisor, double check the proof of purchase. If you feel like you've done everything correctly, I would suggest linking that page and labelling 'Steam' to the advisor; As well as linking the first page of this thread.
When you're ready, connect to EA Live Chat.
Alternatively, if you're still within your 2 hour window (very small leeway with Steam Support after the two hour mark), and you're within your two weeks of purchase, you can request a refund on Steam.

not true..
I send proof of purchase to your live chat more than 10 times, and every time I was told it was not valid.
So it's * * what you write !! And not true !!
I got a refund from Steam instead..

It is true, but it also depends on the advisor you get. The best thing you can do is to continue to chase them up and provide that you have the evidence. it is important that you tell them the CD-Key for the Steam version IS NOT available. You can also make a complaint to the advisor if you feel you've been given a poor service.
The next method is to reach out to EAHelp at X. Make a comment that an advisor hasn't been able to add SPORE (and it's Expansion/DLC if you have them) over to the EA App despite having evidence of this. If you are lucky, you may be able to enter into a DM with them to solve your issue on an individual basis.
- 6 months ago@80c0527d35a3f49a At least you're able to speak to these people. I've made a chat and "Resume Chat" does nothing but allow me to enter a message.. a day later it says "Resolved" with no email or correspondence at all, and I can't view any messages in the case.
