It would be great--but with how old Spore is, it wouldn't be as successful as you might think. Mods would have to be redone to be compatible with it, and ultimately there's not much more that can be added to Spore other than a graphics upgrade and expanding some of the gameplay features. Most people play Spore to create, so it would take something amazing and interesting that nobody expects but that stays true to the game's spirit for it to really be popular long enough for the modding scene to establish itself.
I guess, I just think that game developers could make something revolutionary with a second game but the opportunity isn’t even being considered by EA.
