Grid Legends - Black Screen on Launch

your system isn't the problem, it's EA and their terrible launching of games, I can't even get past the "license check" screen because it just fails constantly

I have the same problem. I purchased Grid Legends on Steam yesterday but it will not start. I click on Play and Steam says it's running but the screen just goes black for a few seconds and the game crashes. There are no error messages.

I have verified the integrity of the game files on Steam. I have updated Windows 10 and the Nvidia graphics drivers and my desktop system exceeds the recommended requirements for playing the game (DXDiag file attached).

OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix Z270E Gaming
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.20GHz
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX1080Ti
RAM: Corsair 32GB DDR4 2666MHz

I have even tried starting the game on another computer with the same result so please don't give us pat answers and standard troubleshooting steps for this. I have hundreds of games which all play perfectly well -- including Grid 2019. This is obviously a problem inherent to Grid Legends.

Is this a method to start game in non-avx mode. -sse-only flag or something like that?

Every time i launch the game i get a black screen for 2 sec and then it crashes to desktop without warning.

I run windows 11 all drivers are up to date. I've tried installing the game twice on two different drives.

My specs are:
