I think it's the EA app that's causing it.
When I'm signed in, in both single and multiplayer I get consistent temporary (5-10 sec) freezes after a race is over and sometimes just before it starts, and a lot in online lobbies. I also sometimes get bad freezes when jamming or spiking or emping someone.
my cpu drops a chunk and gpu plummets to basically zero utilization during the exact duration of the freeze every time.
I was chatting with an EA tech the other day, who recommended to do this:
then clear cache in the EA app and restart the pc, but that didn't fix it.
What does seem to work is playing offline, but then you can't access multiplayer so, idk.
They said they'll look into it but who knows?
maybe you guys should go to EA Help and try to get a live agent in that chat so they know this bug affects a bunch of people and might do something to fix it.
