@ELF014 It shouldn't be too difficult for them to offer some kind of alternative, or even to ensure that the daily tournament requirement only comes up when the four hole arcade is available.
At this point it feels as if they are indifferent at best though.
I too have found myself in a situation that although I frequently browse here, I am playing the game far less, and when I do have an urge to play a round or two, I've been loading up '21 by those other people, because at least in that I also get to enjoy the mouse swing input. (I'm not a fan of the messy interface on '23 or I'd play that.)

I hate what they did with the speed of the backswing in 2K, I found the earlier Golf Club games better, though the the ball physics have gotten better in the later games.
I swear they do this on purpose, to break something just to have a future project.
Golf games have been around a long time. Maybe not the first but I think there was an Atari 2600 game released in 1980. That's 43 years ago... if you look at how far technology has come... golf games haven't really kept pace. And I'm not talking about graphical enhancements... I'm strictly talking about gameplay... and understanding the game of golf.
If you are developing a golf game you need to have an ex-professional golfer on staff explaining how things work.
But if you are NOT creating a SIM, but just a general representation of the game... then I get it.
Mea Culpa... this has all been on me.
- @Noya_Wesa I played 2019 on-lone the other night and it was an enjoyable experience. Had to relearn the swing mechanics, and the green speeds were ridiculously slow... but it was a nice change of pace.
Would have loved to have played the original or the other earlier games on-line, but it seems all the HBS servers are all shutdown.
It's unfortunate that when HBS sold the franchise one of the stipulations wasn't to keep an available server up for their past games. And another day of EA saying, "we hate 3 click players."
Why is so difficult EA, for you to not include the pathetic requirement of playing in a daily tournament that costs more than you can earn back in points, so that everybody is on an equal footing when it comes to being able to do the daily quest?
Is it too complex for you to wrap your heads around, or is it that you simply hate anybody who can't use a game controller?
Yes. I can't complete it either, it's over 71 ft for me, impossible! Videos on YouTube show the people beating the same challenge and the putts are never over 12ft. Another EA PGA Tour 23 bug, no doubt. I've talked to other people, it's all over the place. Some are at 40ft, some 20 ft, others over 70 ft like me. It's just like the hit 15 bunker shots to 5ft, wish a developer would post video evidence of these challenges being completed, but probably just cheat it. I can't find anyone I know that has beaten that one, no youtube videos. With 99 overall golfer, Hidekis wedge specs, Finua's ball specs, gold pick shot, 8 wedge recovery and 9 wedge accuracy, I can get no more that 4 in a row before you get the random code shot, either right or left just outside the 5 ft.
Hey Devs and moderators!
Do you really have nothing for the 3-clickers.
Are we only good for paying money?
We are shut out for almost every tournament.
Come on say something.
- PalomaMarvel242 years agoSeasoned Ace@Noya_Wesa I agree with you that PGA Tour 2K21 was the most enjoyable golf game. I had PGA 2K23 (Tiger Woods Cover) but the 2nd patch had a bug that forced my shot left regardless of shot angle. I ended up trading 2K23 for FIFA 2023. I am also a 3 click player except for putting. I use the stick for putting.
I'd love to be able to use a controller in all truth, but I have limited mobility on both thumbs, so gripping and manipulating a controller is almost impossible without forcing more pain that it'd be worth, so I'm stuck with 3 click, unless they add mouse swing as an input method. A mouse can be guided with just downward pressure of the hand, and I can adjust my rest position to hold the side with my index finger instead of the thumb, or better yet, I can use a trackpad in mouse mode, as I do for 2K21.
Re 23, I bought the TW Edition, but still much prefer 21. 🙂

@Noya_WesaSorry to hear about the limited mobility on the thumbs. It surprises me that the EA does not have tournaments for 3 click players. Requiring tournament participation for daily quests is not a good idea especially for 3 click players and also when tournaments are not available.
They have your money, why should they care any more. Remember, this is EA you're talking about, did you expect anything more?.
