Constant Crashing on X Box Series X

This game has been unplayable since the day I got it on launch day. I assumed you would fix it and stabilise it but it's never happened.

I've troubleshooted the suggested ideas, like deleting the local saves etc but it does not stop the X Box turning off every 30 mins (max).

I have two EA games, this and Fifa 23 and these are the only games I've had that does it.  I just want a working game that I can enjoy.

    @Sladberry

It sounds like your console may be overheating.

Clean the dust and lint from the console vents and store it out in an open area rather than in an enclosed cabinet.

If the issue persists, you may need to have the console professionally cleaned or serviced.

    Thanks.

  • It’s not in an enclosed area and I’d agree with you if it was happening on any other games - but the only one impacted is this one.

I literally just bought this game and it consistently crashes, can’t play it for one hole without it crashing. My Xbox is perfectly fine, in an open area, and cleaned/service very often.

    Hi @Sladberry @cslay97

Thanks for the additional information, If you are still running into crashing on the XBX can we try the following?

    • Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume (For Series X|S consoles)
    • Remove any connected device, or additional USB's from the console then restart the Xbox and check
    • Check for updates
    • Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
    • Open you're Xbox NAT Type
    • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
    • Persistent Storage
      • Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
      • Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage
    • Alternate Mac:
      • Go to settings > Select General  > Then Network settings
      • Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
      • Select restart

I tried all of these options yesterday before posting that comment. Ended up requesting a refund for the game.

    HI @cslay97

    Thanks for the update!

Apologies we couldn't find a solution, if you ever decide to give PGA Tour a try again let us know if you run into any issues!

  • Tried everything and it still crashes. Just managed to play for the first time and it lasted maybe 45 minutes.

Hi @Sladberry, Thanks for the update, to check are you a part of an insider build of Xbox by chance?

  • I guess not given I have no idea what an insider build is. I took the console out of the box and fired it up about 2 years ago. All I’ve done since is clean it a few times!

    Hey @Sladberry

Good to hear! and for context the insider builds allow you to get Xbox features before the general public (like when they integrated discord)

Would it be possible to test on a guest or other account on the console to see if this continues?
