Cross play!

Question

With Golf being a rising sport for popularity in the younger crowd, how come no cross play support? It is still a niche game for people to buy and EA now has to compete with 2K in the golf genre. I personally like the EA feel as i always have, but I also love how EA snagged real golfers and courses to give you that full PGA tour feel. With that being said, I believe EA has the superior game over 2K and for EA to grab more players, I believe cross play is the answer. I've played 2K and can't stand behind them with downloading files of creator made course that are kinda close to real courses, but I also can't stand behind EA not allowing it's players to play with friends at least across consoles. Do we really have to wait for another game and pay for the same game again to play with friends?&nbsp;

There won't be another golf game. The CEO at EA downsized his company last year, laid off some 675 workers and wrote he was cancelling/abandoning games not making enough money. It's obvious this one got the axe. There has been no update and support since April 2024, patch 12, which was just after the press release of the laid off.

EA does not want to compete with 2K, and gave away its exclusive rights for the 4 Majors. 2K has 3 of them in PGA 2K25. Even the lead designer and some devs of this game have moved to 2K to work on PGA 2K25.

Thank you.My friends and I recently downloaded this but we were puzzled as to why we couldn't play crossplay.Such a shame too, as speedster2182170​ mentioned, with the sport becoming popular with more and more people
