EA SPORTS PGA TOUR Career Mode Crash Fix on PC?
Just wondering if a fix has been established for PC users for this crash on road to the masters. I can't start my round on week 28, and I can't skip the event without my game just freezing up. I see previous posts regarding the issue but they are related to console users and dead end fixes.
Unable to launch PGA Tour on PC
I've recently not been able to launch PGA Tour on my Windows 11 PC. When attempting to launch via the EA Play app the game briefly attempts to run, but after a few seconds the EA Play app just reappears. I've worked through all the following troubleshooting options offered by the EA Support chat, but still no luck: 1. Clear EA App Cache Action: In the EA App, click the menu (three lines) at the top left. Go to: Help > App Recovery > Clear Cache. Restart: Close and reopen the EA App. 2. Repair the Game Action: In the EA App, go to My Collection. Find PGA Tour: Click the three dots (…) on the game tile. Select: Repair. Restart: After repair, try launching the game again. 3. Run EA App as Administrator Action: Right-click the EA App shortcut. Select: Run as administrator. Try launching the game. 4. Update Windows and GPU Drivers Action: Check for Windows updates. Update: Install the latest graphics card drivers (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel). Restart: Restart your PC and try launching the game. 5. Disable Antivirus/Firewall Temporarily Action: Temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall. Try launching the game. Re-enable security software after testing. 6. Perform a Clean Boot Action: Type msconfig in the Windows search bar and press Enter. Go to: Services tab > Check "Hide all Microsoft services" > Disable all. Go to: Startup tab > Open Task Manager > Disable all startup items. Restart: Reboot your PC and try launching the game. 7. Change EA Account Avatar (Community Workaround) Action: In the EA App, click your profile (top right). Select: Edit Profile > Edit Avatar. Change: Select a different avatar and save. Restart: Close and reopen the EA App. Try launching the game. 8. Delete Game Cache or Settings Files Action: Navigate to the PGA Tour folder in Documents. Delete: Any cache or settings files (e.g., hardware settings). Restart: Try launching the game again. 9. Use Advanced Launch Options (DirectX) Action: In the EA App, find PGA Tour and click the three dots (…). Select: View Properties > Advanced Launch Options. Add: -dx11 or -dx12 in the command line. Save and try launching the game.
PC issues?
Can't get the game to load whatsoever. It'll pop up black screen and then immediately close and go back to EA. I've uninstalled both the game and EA and reinstalled both to no avail. Tried running as administrator. Updated every possible driver. Restarted the PC, literally just about everything. Anyone have a any suggestions?
Cross play!
With Golf being a rising sport for popularity in the younger crowd, how come no cross play support? It is still a niche game for people to buy and EA now has to compete with 2K in the golf genre. I personally like the EA feel as i always have, but I also love how EA snagged real golfers and courses to give you that full PGA tour feel. With that being said, I believe EA has the superior game over 2K and for EA to grab more players, I believe cross play is the answer. I've played 2K and can't stand behind them with downloading files of creator made course that are kinda close to real courses, but I also can't stand behind EA not allowing it's players to play with friends at least across consoles. Do we really have to wait for another game and pay for the same game again to play with friends?
NOT RECEIVING SKILL POINTS
So I have a glitch where when I level up I’m not receiving skill points how it happened- so I normally play on my Xbox account all was fine I played on my pc for faster gameplay + discord and since I’ve leveled up on my pc it says in my screen I should get the skill points but when I go to golfer I do not have them what have I done - I contacted EA they told me basically I have no option but to make a post on here. if anyone has any fixes please let me know asap
