Do Lies Have Any Effect On The Ball?
Seems like sidehill lies have ZERO effect on the ball? Maybe someone can chime in from EA on this to confirm whey there aren't any?

- @kingjavo007 I've also suspected that hanging lies have no effect on the outcome of the shot. I've been in some horrific lies and stances around bunkers and rough but was able to shoot straight at the flag without adjusting the aim.
I hope they fix it quickly.
I've been wondering the same. If there is an effect it seems to be pretty minimal.
I'll add that there doesn't seem to be a coaching challenge to teach how to manage this which makes me think it might intentionally not be in the game. Similarly I don't recall an uphill/downhill lie coaching challenge either actually.
14 was the same way with rough. But above or below your feet mattered.
I am playing on the hardest possible settings, and yes, I have been observing definite effects of sloped lies. Now that I am getting more adjusted to exactly how much directional effects they are having, my short game play has improved a lot recently.
I have had some bad lies in the heavy rough, but it is relatively infrequent. I think, but not totally sure about this, that the really bad lies are more likely to occur the further you veer off the fairway. My first Korn Ferry Tour event was at Whistling Straights and I was "all over the golf course" and had some really bad lies in the rough there. It was quite the adventure!
One thing it's maybe worth noting is that the gameplay option states that the lie angle has no affect in Arcade mode but it should in others.

This is accurate. Lie plays in Pro and above. Sometimes it may not seem like it because the wind can offset it, or random landing… but it plays.
I play in Pro mode and it does seem like it works. Sometimes I would find shots would go in a direction I didn't expect after taking wind etc into account. Then I saw a YouTube video that talks about it. (see below). The game does tell you if the ball is above or below your feet when taking a shot and that will tell you if you can expect the ball the draw or fade. Considering this information along with everything else now, I'm finding the ball doesn't go too far from what I'm expecting. If it does, my swing wasn't great. Now If I could just read putts better lol!
I don't think this was ever in any ea sports pga tour games at least on pc. Only above and below and ground conditions matter.
