I've been wondering the same. If there is an effect it seems to be pretty minimal.

I'll add that there doesn't seem to be a coaching challenge to teach how to manage this which makes me think it might intentionally not be in the game. Similarly I don't recall an uphill/downhill lie coaching challenge either actually.

14 was the same way with rough. But above or below your feet mattered.

I am playing on the hardest possible settings, and yes, I have been observing definite effects of sloped lies. Now that I am getting more adjusted to exactly how much directional effects they are having, my short game play has improved a lot recently.
I have had some bad lies in the heavy rough, but it is relatively infrequent. I think, but not totally sure about this, that the really bad lies are more likely to occur the further you veer off the fairway. My first Korn Ferry Tour event was at Whistling Straights and I was "all over the golf course" and had some really bad lies in the rough there. It was quite the adventure!
