I really enjoy this game but you saying you are listening to us and addding things we want or fixed but the number 1 thing that needs to be added to this game is crossplay, i cant believe a game released in 2023 didnt have crossplay on release and 8 months since the release still no crossplay. Everyone knows EA games have crossplay but this one, why, such a big mistake. I play on PC and for the first 2 to 3 months the numbers playing on PC was ok but slowing the numbers playing on PC are all but dead now, i purchgased a xbox so i could play with my frieds who play on xbox but even now on xbox the numbers playing are getting lower and lower. If EA really wants to keep this game going for a year or more thay have to give us crossplay asap or the game will die in months, its all but dead on PC and xbox isnt too far behind, no idea what its like on Playstation. Also the idea of a Pro Pass is fine but the rewards suck, make the rewards better, remove XP, pointless to players who are max level and stop giving us XP once a player in max level, its pointless, it does nothing to encourage people to play, so instead of giving XP at max level, give tokens or tickets.This last patch is a joke, you fix bugs, thtas fine but the halloween content in the pro pass is a joke, no halloween items in the store. The previously poorly made EA game, NBA Live 19, took 2 years til the price was $10. It took only 6 months for current PGA Tour to hit $10. I would not be surprised if I find EA PGA at the Dollar Tree Store by the time next year’s Masters begin.

Cross play isn’t the top issue and neither is gameplay imho. While game play certainly has some room for improvement (specifically difficulty level being to easy due to non penalizing rough and sand) it’s nowhere near as bad as the ~15 frequent posters on this board would have you believe. In my opinion, a game like this really needs two thing to drive continued interest (two things that 2k currently has and this game does not). 1. Private club play so groups of friends can create tournament/seasons and okay then together. 2. Course designer so they’re always fresh new places to play.

While you have an interesting perspective, I would argue that gameplay is a major consideration in bringing players back. If you don't enjoy playing the game you won't play it. I know people that stop playing after owning it for one day. I at least pushed through to max my character and through a season and a half trying to figure out if there was a way to make the game playable.In my opinion... serious players have no interest in shooting consistently shooting in the double digits every round. Where making a birdie on every hole is not uncommon.Some of us would prefer to struggle to make par, and a birdie feels like an achievement rather than expected.But this environment does not exist for the majority of us in this game.I have heard many on your side of this argument that complain about tournament leaders shooting 9 under for 4 holes or 30 plus under for 18. I do agree Society or Club play might help, but only after they correct gameplay and the ability to lock settings down for competitive play. Since the current playing levels have not been very well defined.For example SIM mode shouldn't show the swing meter or green grid.As for the course designer, that is an extravagance but not required.

EA you need to address these issues asap and stop killing this game

In my opinion crossplay is not the number one issue and it is not going to resolve the issue.
I never felt crossplay should more than to allow friends to play together... because of the physical limitations of the hardware, some platforms would have a natural advantage over others. This doesn't make for an even playing field so I understand why it hasn't been implemented.
All crossplay is going to do at this point is to huddle the few players left into one larger group. It would not resolve the issue... the numbers would continue to dwindle.
They need to address the elephant in the room... the gameplay itself needs to be fixed. EA PGA Tour would only play like a simulation only in your imagination. The phyics are poor across the board from their representation of the swing mechanics, to ball physics, to green speed and cup physics.
I know many people who deleted the game after the first day of owning it.
As for the skill tree level 50 already made the game ridiculously easy to play. They would have done themselves a huge favor if they had just given players only 1 skill point per level rather than 2. I doubt few people would have reached a level 100 ceiling, l reached level 50 in the first 3 weeks or so. And as I said the game is so easy I play with no skill points or specs to get any kind of challenge... and still shoot under par on the most difficult settings.
There is no top end for many players who are looking for a simulated experience. Besides it just plays like an arcade game, which is fine but what no one seems to realize is that there must be a large contingent of players looking for a more realistic game. Why else would the number of players be dropping as quickly as they have.
My argument is that the majority of the longterm players are golf fans, who are looking for a true representation of the game. Unfortunately this isn't it... this is where they need to resolve the issue if they want fix things.

I think that if you are right and they do pull the plug again they will need a generation of us to die off. I doubt if they will be able to get those of us that have lived through Rory and this game would be eager to buy another EA golf title one day one.
That we would probably wait to see what the new released looked like before committing any monies. Not that $60 is a large of money but why contribute to EA's coffers when they are not providing you fair value in return.
I assume that 2K's next major release will bring the visuals into todays expected levels and that should suffice to appease the majority of people for awhile.
I still think 2K has more than it's share of bugs and erratic gameplay, but even with all that it plays better than the current EA game. That is saying a lot when you think the current 2K game is really 3 plus years old with a few small modifications.
I actually play through all the Club series last night... and thought the first three games felt great to play. All they needed needed to make it play better was faster greens and more swing sensitivity to increase the difficulty of the swing. These games felt like what EA could have been... in fact 2K2019 would have catered to the arcade players among us.
And in my opinion may be the best game in the 2K series, if it wasn't so easy to hit the ball straight.

It was all HB and they worked a deal with 2K just before release to be their publisher. 2K2019 would be the last all HB golf game. Supposedly HB had all kind of issues with the publisher of TGC2, I think it was Maximum Games, something like that.
I also remember the game was easily hacked, there was one of the guy on the HB forum bragging he was cheating all the time, because he knew a lot of people were cheating. He had a youtube channel showing 2 programs where he was able to get perfect-perfect whatever he was doing with his controller. One of them was also able to counter the API used by TGC Tour because it wouldn't show perfect-perfect even though the ball was going straight down the middle of where he was aiming every time.

2K knows what they're doing. Not only HB is still making the game for last generation consoles, 2K gave their golf games for free on PS Plus game of the month. It's very easy to move to 2K23 when it was giving away for free in August. Before that, both 2K2019 and 2K21 were giving for free too. For busy people, there's only so many hours in a day to play a round or 2 from time to time. And now it's between 2 golf games.

You are right... 2K2019 was the last game developed by the old regime. I'm not convinced it is in better hands under 2K's direction.
People are always going to try and cheat or find flaws in the software. I only play in my own little eco system with a small group of friends so cheating isn't an issue.
