My wife and I created own characters and played locally againts each other in old EA Sports golf games.
The characters we created had their own look, clothing and skills and
these characters could improve their skills by performing tasks.
We could choose where to play and so on.
Is this kind of activity possible in EA Sports PGA Tour 2023?
I am still debating requesting a refund. The game is basically useless to me if my fiancé and I can’t play H2H with our characters. I can’t justify switching over to this game when they can’t even provide the most basic features expected from a game at launch.
At the very least it should be available for a local quick play match.
@Jubei-DakuanIndeed, I paid for the EA club so I could try this out before I committed to the full price. I knew this would be an issue 2K (PGA 19,21 & 23) continued to struggle to implement this fully in a long time (it’s better but still not profile based) but given EA have nailed this will all previous incarnations - it’s hard to ascertain why they would do a poor / unfinished job at this basic feature.
I doubt they will be able to sort this quickly, they may be able to have multiple custom golfers per Xbox profile. But to have a local game sharing independent Xbox profile custom players - that seems a long way off and if it’s not been considered in the framework of the game - it’ll be months before it’s included - if ever.
They might surprise us - I’m not holding my breath on this one 🙂
The more people asking for the feature the more likely EA will work on adding it in a future patch.
Keeping this thread in the top of the boards will make sure everyone is aware and support the case to add the feature.

EA please can we have the feature added to play more than one profile character golfer in couch co op mode.
By having just one character and being forced to use a pro golfer as second player will lose you many customers.
couch co op must be played with multiple profile characters otherwise it’s not worth playing.
can you confirm if this feature will be added??
Deleted trial and won’t be purchasing as pointless game for me if you can’t use 2x creative players.
It needs to be available the same way it was in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour.
How do you play local 2x player using 2x custom players, either a 2nd game tag or even a 2nd creative player?
When this colossal oversight eventually gets rectified, they should also ensure there’s an option to even out stats so both players are equal. You should be able to make all created golfers share the same stats for even games.
