Feedback after playing PGA Tour

Great effort on the game EA. Little bit easy but all round core gameplay was great. The Sim mode was the best mode I've played in a while on any golf game. However I will no longer play unlimited mulligan live tournaments. Enough is enough of that boredom. Never mind the persistence to do shortened daily rounds on top. Every single weekly is on the same course as well. The variation is null and void, the unlimited try idea you have is the worst idea known to a golf game. No competition??? No longevity!!!! It was good whilst it lasted and I'll promise to wait to buy it next time rather than buy a game that has unlimited try golf online and then whine after. I'll check and keep my fingers crossed You learn competitive golf. Even Sim mode is unlimited. Oh my days.!!!!

  • Other than the free arcade tournament, none are unlimited due to the entry fees. Like you I'd prefer all tournaments to be single entry but it's not as bad as you're suggesting as I bet loads of people only have one attempt at each for cost and enjoyment reasons. I do, and I've seen other post here and elsewhere that they do the same.

@Ultrasonic_77 i think ALL tournies should be single entry, wanna see how "good" people are with a one time score, instead of the 7 under you see a lot or even the 6 under, maybe see scores more down to earth. im a good player but seeing these ridiculous scores is outrageous

@Ultrasonic_77 Firstly I have 873 tickets and 241,000 reward points, Yes they are very much unlimited if you choose to do so. For the next 6 months I could already. Secondly I'm not sure how much you actually play this game. You're the only one that answers most posts on here and I'm starting to feel like its in your best interests to reply positively to posts on here. Either that or you're choosing to completely ignore what I'm saying. I've said it for 2 weeks now, do you think your view of this game makes it more competitive? It doesn't, its mulligan golf end of

Those scores would still happen but they would become less common. I'm not a top player and I do occasionally manage scores like that over 4 holes. Top players will do so much more often.

First off note I said in my first post that I'd like to see all tournaments be single entry. I meant this. I post for a mix of reasons, including to help others and because I'm interested in seeing the game improved/developed for selfish as well as altruistic reasons.. There is no sort of secret agenda here I assure you, and I think if you consider what I post you'll see I really am always trying to be constructive.

You raise a good point though, which is that for the top players like yourself I can see that tickets may become essentially unlimited. This won't be the view for the majority but this doesn't stop it being an important factor for those like yourself. It comes down to how tickets are won in the game. Tickets can be bought for 1000 Reward Points each, or won in tournaments. To win them cheaper than they can be bought someone has to be good enough to finish in the top 25% of the daily Pro or Tour tournaments, with higher finishes effectively making them cheaper. Players good enough to regularly finish high in these tournaments will end up with lots of tickets but the majority will not.

For context I currently have 9 tickets and 133k Reward Points. I can now typically win an average a bit over 2 tickets per daily pro tournament I think, but I don't enter the daily tour as the risk of finishing outside the top 25% is too high. I'm definitely better than average but not a top player. For many actually making a reward point profit out of the Tournament structure will be a struggle, let alone reward points and tickets becoming essentially unlimited.

Yes i agree tourneys should be 1 and done! Problem is this game is so limited on what your in game currency can buy they had to find a way for you to spend your cash. You know in real life if you have a bad day in a PGA event you can re-buy and get a better score..... NOT!

nothing would change and you  know that.     They should be focusing on turn based play as an option for the competitive online stroke.  Do you play online at all,  because there aren't any do overs and alot of guys are very consistent.  Me not being one of them lol.
