There is zero consistency in what is displayed for break and what you need to play to end up in the hole. Every other golf game I have played the speed the lines move means something. You can learn based on the speed how to adjust your aim. This game that isn't an option. Using the Put read option only sometimes helps. I have seen the read display completely different on a mulligan then it did on the original put. If the program can't even figure out how the put will break on a consistent basis how are we supposed to figure it out. I understand different courses have different hardness and speed to the greens. I have a problem when a put from 5 feet on two different holes showing a break at the same speed require drastically different aiming. If the little lines are moving at the same speed the break should also play the same. Also if the lines are moving from right to left I would expect I need to adjust my aim to the right to compensate. Only on this game will the ball sometimes break from left to right in that situation. I have not seen any other golf game that shows the break in one direction but then it plays in the opposite direction. I have experienced this at least once usually more in every round I have played. Also the way the ball skips over the edge of the cup or hangs on the edge. This game has shown the ball approaching the hole with momentum then suddenly stopping and hanging on the edge for no reason. It has also shown the ball missing with a trajectory that would be impossible for it to not fall in the cup. This game was so vocal in advertising about the physics of ball movement. In reality the ball seems to break the laws of physics far more often then it displays true to life movement. According to the EA app I have played PGA Tour 138 hours so these issues aren't isolated in any way. The inconsistency in putting is the number one reason I am about to give up and go back to 2k23. I can't play in any online tournaments or PvP games because I don't want to lose as a result of how completely screwed up putting is. One other complaint while playing solo on Pebble Beach a significant amount of the audio files have unbelievably poor sound quality. Most of the commentator audio sounds like it was professionally recorded but, on this course, so many of the files sound like they were recorder in someone's bathroom.
I play the game on PC
Intel i9 Hexadeca core (16 cores)
128 gb RAM
AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (16 gb) Drivers are current
Game files are stored on SSD using M.2 architecture.
