Hitting the pin

RNG is most likely the reason bad things happen after hitting the pin. I just miss the TW Series since I can get good results for hitting the pin with any shot. For current game, only the chip shot works when hitting the pin. Just hoping the chip shot doesn’t get changed.

I just had to complain about that, I didn't hit a single pin for a change today. Only time I don't have a bad experience after hitting a pin, it's after hitting the green first and then bouncing off the pin. Still, the ball never goes in. NEVER!

@SlimDown57Yes, it was sometimes doing that in TW13 and 14 which was funny and unrealistic. Most of the time, it was either hitting the pin and go in the hole or the ball would end up a few feet away like real golf. In a few occasions, it would end up with a bad result, something like I have just about all the time in this game.

I seem to be hitting them a lot lately, I agree, it's always bad. I hit one on a flop shot on the short par 4 hole in the 4 holes tournament yesterday, the ball ended up 23 feet away from the hole.

@Katybee_1313It has been a issue for more than a year. Most shots end in rough or bunker after hitting the pin. The TW series did not have this issue.

A workaround is to make a shot using a chip shot. The ball goes in the hole and hits the pin. A weekly quest last year registered after using the workaround. The reason the chip shots work better hitting the pin is most likely they don’t have much power put into them. The other shots have issues since it carries more power into them. Hope it works now since I have not played for a long time. I don’t even know if any of the updates affected the chip shot.

Yeah, it's one extreme to the other. In this game, it's all bad. I hit another one on the 4 hole sim today, ended in the rough again.
