I can tell you it's random. I can also tell you it's happening way more frequently since the recent patch. The odds of a match counting are now less than it not counting. I came to this forum to report the same issue.
I’ve played at least 15 matches and 4 of them counted.. my friend played two today and neither counted. We’re gonna not play for a little while and wait for it to get fixed, it’s ridiculous.. How long can this possibly go on…
This is insane…. Doing everything on my power to be a top competitor online..tell me how I can succeed if your not registering wins and losses online!!!!!!!!!! Fix this * or it’s 2k golf from now and forever!!’

Summarize your bug Most online games I’ve played since the 5.0 update have not been logged in the leaderboard; they simply didn’t count. This has happened the majority of games I’ve played online since the update (only around 4 of 15+ games counted).
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play an online match, complete it, and notice that the user’s win/loss record goes unchanged.
What happens when the bug occurs? Game outcomes are not logged on the online leaderboard.
What do you expect to see? Wins and losses populating the leaderboard after matches are completed

I made this same post yesterday and somehow it disappeared.
I am, along with several others, having this issue on the XBOX platform. Yesterday in three online matches I went 40 - 1 - 0 and never got credit for a single win. Much of the same the day before and already happened again today. I'm going to make a capture of my standings before that shows me going into lobby and then another recording starting near end of the round and returning to standings. Happy to post that somewhere if anyone is interested?
As of today 7/24 I am still having this issue. It is random when it occurs, at this point about 50% of my games' outcomes register to the leaderboard. This has now been going on since the 5.0 update a week ago
I am not receiving any points for wins on online play since the new updae.

today (7/21/23) position 4, EA is saying WORLD RANKED! no its not, thats a win, fix this nonsense EA, this is stupid, now 3 times in as many days

- @ragingsaint How many entries were there on that 4th place event? If there weren't at least 80 scores, then 4th place could easily be world ranked. Number of participants needs to be at least 100 for a top 5 score to be a guaranteed Win. The player count is dwindling, especially on sim. I've seen 2nd place on sim get a World Ranked before on a high roller event.
Ok. Still not receiving points for wins on online play! This is unacceptable! If your server can't handle the amount of people playing now you might need a new patch!

Thanks for letting us know what you are experiencing with PGA Tour.
You can try running through our connect troubleshooting to see if the stats update:
Xbox:
- Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume (For Series X|S consoles)
- Remove any connected device, or additional USB's from the console then restart the Xbox and check
- Check for updates
- Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Open you're Xbox NAT Type
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
PlayStation:
- Verify you signed into your PSN account
- Check for updates
- Restore Licence
- Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Open your PS5 NAT Type
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
- Entering Safe Mode and Rebuild your PS database
PC:
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
- EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Untick the options in LAN Settings (make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server)
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
If you are still seeing Online stats not track correctly please let us know the following
- Which game mode are you playing? (Career, Online, Tournaments, etc)
- Are you getting an error message?
- Have you tried restarting the game or playing a different mode and returning?
Also, if you have not please also let us know the following...

I posted this a week ago!!! This is insane.
Having the same issues on xbox s, played l6 online games, only 2 regiistered, the ones that didnt register was like 15 - 0, 14 - 1, 12 - 1 - 1 and 9 -0. this isnt the first time games r not being registered, i must of lost 60 to 80 wins this season 4, feeling like what is the point playing, you fix bugs but not the important ones, u fix like havingn the right colour flowers at augusta and the flag blows the correct way at LA CC, who cares, fix the bugs that makes the game bettter first
So in the past week I have had circa 50% of all online games not count. It’s pretty demoralising when you work hard for a good result, finish top and the game effectively doesn’t register the match at all. This is a really big issue for everybody I play with online so would be great if could be prioritised.
Still no point for the leaderboard for online really suck cuz other players earning point because im going down on the leaderboard...
Happening since the last update, im about to give up on this game, fun game but when you only play online, only 1 mode and its not even working...
COME ON EA wake up!!!!
Two more online wins against multiple opponents didn’t count again today. The match simply acted as if it had never taken place. I have played around 200 games in season 4 and only half have counted on the leaderboard. This really needs fixing.

Fix this. When lobbies fill up with 16 players, and I win, it would be nice for those wins to actually count and Ireceive points. It's LITERALLY POINTLESS...get it?

I know, you are investigating it STILL.
I could have investigated every cold case in police dept in America and solved those cases in the time you've had to investigate. Fix the problem, this is turning into the worst golf game EA has ever released. This game hasn't been right since day one. Maybe you should fire some of your people and hire some that know WTF they are doing.
