On pS5 after latest update 6.0 as of August 10, 2023 for match play online and pro pass.
Play a game whether online match play with opponent or a private match play vs invited friend and get this error after completing game.
Error loading scoring data. There was a error while loading data from other players. Played with bro & he does not get error. Host the private match & had him host still same error after game ends and scorecard is shown. I get no XP no pro pass points. Tried a custom match tpc with par 5 only so it was like three rounds and still same. My brother does not get error only me so user error?
I had sync data turned off on ps5 for a pga tour and turned it back on and restarted game. Played a quick custom match play online where you have to watch your friend take their shot then you go. Same thing happened error loading data score. No match results or reward XP and no pro pass points just back to main menu. A real bummer even if you win or lose you get xp but not in this new online match play. I did do a regular private stroke play where we both can play at the same time online and I received XP result rewards after match and no error. So maybe Update 6.0 match play error on PS5 on some players?
Tired reinstalling game from scratch on PS5 but have not tried again. I believe it is a error in the latest online match play with pro pass updated or a user error. I will report back and be patient to see if I can troubleshoot this matter that is only affecting my ea pga tour 2023 on ps5 console. Tired utubing and googling but found nothing like this. Maybe it's my ps5 sync was turned off for this game cause I like to manually do it so if there is a problem with game I can revert back to a previous save. Maybe after some more time it will resync with server & fix or maybe reinstalling whole game from new will be better than since launch I have had game with updates applied something went wrong updating. I have to think this through, walk away, sleep on it and get the anwers...
I did some further investigation and it seems that when I play a match play game either online match play with 9 holes or private match match play with a custom game like par 5 only to make it quick after the game is over you go to the score card. Now if no one presses any buttons to advance its ok. The moment I press the button in the score card at end of game my opponent receives the Match Play error and receives no rewards & is taken to main menu. If he presses the button then I get the error message Match Play error and get no rewards returning me to main menu. The problem is Match Play on PS5 not registering correct scores and crashing. Please fix.
I am in the same boat. So frustrating. Any update? None of my match play stats have updated since the update
