Patch 3.0 Discussion

So let me get this straight...people complain about the putting, that putts seem to be gliding right over the edge of the hole, and you fix the "visual representation of the hole".  Then we add lipouts which happen wayy too frequently, maybe next update we make it so you have to putt a round ball in a square hole?

Edit: also, since it looks like daily tourneys are back to 2x a day, here's a little number crunching for ya...

If you win every weekly tournament, that's 89k coins...add to that the 21k you would earn from your daily arcade runs and that leaves you a max of 110k earnings. 

If you're like me, and just want to play every tournament for leaderboard purposes, that ends up costing 98k coins just to participate in every event...not including retries, disconnects, directx crashes, etc

I guess its the typical strategy, keep the players poor so they have to use micro transactions for those shiny items

Hey EA, you can't be serious! Where are the online modes? We all want to compete against each other. Where are the metric units for the European players? That can not be that hard. The game gets boring without more modes. Copy and paste the old TW series. Thanks

Again with the complete and utter non understanding of the process, coupled with massive noisy opinions about it... it's dangerous when people speak with such authority about things they know nothing of, and unfortunately all too common in this age of internet. 

Tell me, how many games have you developed in your life? in fact do you even have any knowledge past the 'On/Off' button? 

This thread is utter perfection, a perfect example of the sewer this forum will become, like every other gaming forum in existence. 

So to all the perennial whiners and people who haven't even bought the game yet feel the need to jump on and stick the boot in, well done, you have achieved your goal of destroying yet another forum.... I hope you're all chuffed with yourself, back patting each other over who can be the biggest troll. 

As I said above, the combination of complete lack of knowledge and unrealistic expectations are just laughable. Have fun with your troll fest, im pretty much done here, a sorry state of affairs. 

Playing the game a bit after the patch I must say I really like the zooming in on putts when the ball gets close to the hole 🙂.

I've also spotted a couple of things in tournaments that I don't think I've seen mentioned elsewhere: the daily arcade right now is holes 1-4 rather than the usual 15-18, and the length of the daily Pro tournament has been extended to 6 holes.

@theycagednonWhat is hard to code? They have the game modes we want in the game for local already. They just need to put in the multiplayer coding. Coding it to multiplayer is EASY! should take the dev no more then 1 day to code it to MP. Maybe they should look up coding multiplayer for dummy's. i have watched many video's with 1 person making a game and making lobbies, Yes we all know EA is a small company and need a lot more staff 🙂

I like the changes; the new equipment, gameplay, and fixing of the stuttering (mostly).  I appreciate the devs continuing to keep this going. So, a big thank you!
