Pretty sure that turn based multiplayer was either the most requested item or at least one of them.....
Up there with couch mode for created toons...

But many core request in the gameplay would seem more important. I have worked in software... and developers like working on what is easy or what is already on the roadmap.
Unless pushed by customers or their bosses, they will do what is easiest.@ELF014I have managed software DEV teams in the past, and my company generally does not give developers leeway to determine what they want to develop. Their roadmaps are entirely dictated by internal and external customers. Of course, I work for a manufacturing company and not a game developer, so experiences may differ.
@7AnimalMotherPretty much the same... upper management would have final say... but the lead developers had a strong voice in the decision. That is unless a heated client lit a fire under someone.
I take it all back... the patch is useless.
The turn based appears to only be available for Matchplay... we are playing Strokeplay currently and there is NO turn order.
Just don't understand why the match play would be only 1v1 either. Every other game mode is 2-16 players.
