PGA Tour PS5 - Local multiplayer controllers randomly change
Product: EA SPORTS PGA TOUR Platform:PlayStation 5 Summarize your bug When playing a local multiplayer stroke game with 2 controllers and using 2 tour pros, the controllers switched which player was controlling which player randomly on the 4th hole of Augusta. Continued to play as the other player and then it reverted back to the proper controller after the following shots. Closed the game and began another multiplayer stroke with same golfers (speith and dj) had the same issue only the controllers switched players after the 1st hole How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Quick play Stroke Augusta - all 18 Select spieth Added dj Play round What happens when the bug occurs? On the tee on hole 4 -my controller was operating dj while I started the round with spieth. My buddy’s controller was operating spieth when it should be dj. So it switched Reset game - same settings - switched controlling players while on the green on hole 1. In the middle of the hole. Putted out as the opposite players and on the tee at hole 2 it reverted back. What do you expect to see? I would like to play the whole round with my controller. Or at least have a controller option to switch it back There are no player 1 - controller 1, player 2 - controller 2 options
Local (couch) multiplayer switches which controller is player 1’s tour pro to player 2’s tour pro - so the controllers flip players at random
I had the same issue on Xbox Series X. There needs to be a way to lock/assign controllers to p1, p2, etc. you should not have to only use one controller to play local play without issues
Happening to me too. I don't understand how this game can be so bad, these issues should of been resolved during testing, I can only assume no testing took place.
Having this issue too on PS5 2 player - quick play using 2 controllers. Controllers randomly switch to only control the other player throughout the round. Only way to resolve it is to switch controllers each time it happens.
@NostyromosYeah, hit the nail on the head. Basicly what seems to be happening is one controller gets the vibration/sound but both can play as each character. Its who ever presses X first to go into swing stance then its locked or you can back out with circle and let the correct player(controller 2) take over. But they get no haptics while the person NOT swinging feels it all. Its hilarious how the game has already gotten as update or 2 and this is still a problem.... EA quality
Yup had a friend over and we were playing on two controllers. We found that both controllers were controlling both golfers, and the backswing power-up (A on XBox) on controller two instead reset the shot. It was a mess. We got around it by play and pass using a single controller but this also resulted in players accidentally taking the wrong golfer's shot. Please fix!
Found this problem over the weekend at a friends, makes local multiplayer awful. Didn't notice a pattern to it but didn't see if my mate was pressing any buttons before me on each shot.
