Problem with EA App
I couldn't start the game tonight. The following message came up:
Background Services Have Crashed etc.
There was a restart button which I clicked on but still didn't fix the issue.
To be honest I like the game and with a few additions and improvements it would rank as one of the best golf games I have owned. However I am really surprised about technical issues even after a year. A couple of weeks ago my game was stuck on "Preparing Game" so I posted at this forum. The fix was that I had to lower my setting on the UAC which I did and then it worked. Why is it that I have never had to do that with any of my other golf games but have to for EA Sports Golf?
Now the latest issue. The other problem is that my friend and I have played Perfect Golf for years with no issues and some rounds of 2K23 with no issues. He bought the premium edition and has never been able to complete a 18 hole round playing solo or multiplayer. When we play multiplayer we play 6 holes at a time and manually record the score as he always gets disconnected. The only difference between our PCs is that he is running Windows 11 while I am 10.
I can live with things like no replays, no stats, no option to save quick or multiplayer rounds, not being able to move my ball position on the tee box or setting the weather, time of day and course conditions but all these techinical issues with starting the game and disconnects are enough for me give up on the game.
Please get your programmers to fix the above.

If you haven't already, can we try going through the following steps and let us know if this continues?
- Repair your game via the EA App - Repair (Library > Tile Dots > Repair)
- Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
